Who ever knew having a house could be so time consuming, put that that with having a 2 yr old, and another on the way and there isn't much time for much else. None the less here it is, we wanted to thank you for helping us get into our first home. Though we didn't look for long, we felt that the time you did take with us was well spent. I appreciate the extra advice, and phone calls, and fast return of phone calls as well. We hope that with our next purchase and sale of this house you will be there again to assist us in our decision. We have in 5 months done quite a bit to our house, and plan this to be our 5 yr project. By summer we will have the roof done, the kitchen renovated, the driveway fixed, and many other little projects completed. I have torn out part of the flooring myself and laid tiles. All the exterior doors have been replaced as well. After doing all this work it may be hard to leave, after we have put our hearts in to the home. So maybe we'll add on a bedroom....... who knows. Thanks again. Jim August 18, 2000 To Whom It May Concern: Over the past 4 years I have had the pleasure of working with Marten Holst both to buy my first home in 1996 and then to sell it in 2000. When I bought my first home, I was very limited by what I could afford. Marten worked very hard to choose houses that worked well for my budget, and that he thought I would like. He advised me on the work that should be done to the homes, so that I had a good idea of what I was going to have to invest down the road. After buying my home, Marten continued to check up on me and see how I was doing with renovations and etcetera. When in came time to sell my house the economy was very depressed, and houses in my category were not selling well. Although the sale of my home benefited Marten very little financially, he worked tirelessly to sell my house. When we did finally get an offer there were many strings attached, making the deal difficult to negotiate. Marten negotiated everything for me, I simply let him look after my best interests, which he did wonderfully. Marten is an exceptionally kind man, a incredibly hard worker and a professional and attentive agent. I highly recommend Marten's services to anyone looking to make a real estate transaction.
